Approval of Agenda: Sister Mary Ann requested we move D. Farewell to Outgoing Members to the end of Meeting from New Business.
Approval of Minutes: Approved as printed.

Communications: Mary Beth stated that she had a communication on helping the Graf family after the fire of their home. Father Tony mentioned that he talked with the family and decided we would take up a collection for the family. It was decided that we would respond and do what was necessary for any disaster among our parish family.

Pastor’s Report: Father Tony wanted to express his appreciation to this council and is looking forward to working with the new council. Sister Kathy Holland will be replacing Sister Mary Ann Phelan. Father also mentioned he was at a retreat at New Mallory Monastery, which Father highly recommends for any of us. Father mentioned he was in Iowa City for the 3-day annual Clergy Institute for a period of prayer and study. Father mentioned that we have two ordinations, one of which is Father Ron (Gabriel) Hodges who will be coming back to Clinton for a Mass of Thanksgiving on July 12th followed by a reception at the Education Center. The Mass will be held at Sacred Heart church. Father also mentioned having a core group of people look at the possibilities of making the St. Boniface church a Catholic Cultural Center.

Open Discussion: Hospitality and Pastoral Goals: Odelia presented copies of the Parish Stewardship Committee Mission Statement and Parish Stewardship Prayer proposed to the Pastoral Council by the Devotional Life and Parish Stewardship Committees. Discussion followed on how and where to have it made available, possibly on the back of our Parish prayer card. It will be decided how to implement the prayer into our devotional life. We also talked about ways of becoming a more welcoming parish. It was suggested that maybe pictures of members running for council are put on the bulletin board and also new parishioners’ pictures should also be displayed. Many other ideas such as having Ushers/Greeters wear badges so that they are easily recognized. Kathy DeBo mentioned that in many of the other churches the Ushers/Greeters do wear badges. It was also recommended that maybe the members of the Pastoral Council should also wear badges. It was thought that maybe parishioners need to know who the members of their Pastoral Council are. Training of the Ushers/Greeters would be necessary along with some written guidelines. Much discussion followed.
