Communications: A call was received by Tom Van Buer about the lack of lights in the parking lot after evening liturgies, during Holy Week. Father Tony said one only needs to override the system, which is a task easily done.
Father Tony received an email from a visitor commenting on our new "beautiful place of worship", so "comfortable & peaceful" and how she "loved the mix of old and new."
Approval of Minutes: Approved as amended. Mike Finn stated the number attending the dedication weekend should be more accurately reported.
Pastor's Report: Father Bill Kneemiller is being recalled to active duty as a chaplain in the Army Reserves to serve in Afghanistan this June. He will be away for one year. In his absence Father Tony will serve as administrator of his parishes in Lost Nation, Oxford Junction, and Toronto. Father John Stack will be the weekend celebrant at the parishes. Father Tony and Father Thom will take over The Canticle. Father Thom is on a well-deserved vacation. Father Tony expressed the need for us to pray for vocations with only one priest being ordained in 2010 and three priests retiring in 2011. Father Tony expressed thanks to everyone involved in making the Easter Liturgies successful. Father Tony said favorable comments were made about the Clinton High School A’Cappella Choir concert held on April 15th. The acoustics are great! Perhaps other appropriate concerts could be held as well.
Old Business:
- Elections: Terms ending for Joe Leonard, Tom Van Buer, Mary Jo Dopson, Steve Cahoy and Marc Smith. Mary Jo, Marc and Steve are eligible for a second term. Nominations for new candidates are due May 1st, with an extension of time if necessary.
- Sacred Heart Chapel: Handout - discussion followed about use of Sacred Heart Chapel. Motion to accept policy by Joe Leonard. Second by Mike Finn.
- Property Abatement: St Mary's asbestos abatement bid came in under $7,000. Demolition specs are being developed. Antique auction brought in a disappointing $20,000, less expenses. We would not recommend the company that handled the sale. Discussion followed about value of salvage items in St Mary's Church. New rectory bid was accepted. Closing set for April 24th. The Catholic Historical Center at St. Boniface still working on financing. The parish is pursuing options for St. Irenaeus. Discussion followed.

Prince of Peace may be the first parish in the Diocese to start the campaign. The Diocesan Planning Committee is discussing the possibility of combining six deaneries to just three or four.
Closing Prayer: Prayer of St Francis.
Next Meeting will be May 21st @ 7:00 pm in the church.
Respectfully submitted
