Old Business: None
New Business:
- Dedication of new church – planning help: Fr. Thom met with Deacon Agnoli as to the procedure for the liturgy of the new church. Many items need to be attended to such as lining up the ministries, invitations being worked on, and getting the mailing list together just to name a few. Father Thom showed a copy of the invitation that will be used. The Pastoral Council is being asked to help with this event acting as Hosts and Hostesses. Refreshments will be available. Mike and Marilou Finn volunteered to take care of refreshments both after Saturday dedication and Sunday Open House. There will be training sessions for all ministry positions during the next few weeks.
- Use policies for new church campus: A committee to work on policies for acceptable use of the church was discussed. Items such as who have keys and what events to be held there were discussed. Daily Mass, funerals, weddings should all be held at the new church. It was suggested we have a committee to work on this. Tom Van Buer volunteered to work on this committee and this committee will also cover when exactly we would use Sacred Heart Church. Other items could be: what we can have in the gathering space, as to where to put information, etc. Dave Schnier will work with Tom Van Buer on this committee.
- St Mary Closing: Father Thom said we would follow the same format as for the other two churches. Msgr. John Hyland will be officiating at this Mass which will be held on March 8 at the 10:30 am Mass. There will be refreshments after this Mass and Joe and Anne Leonard have volunteered to head this up. The rectory will be open for those parishioners who wish to see the rectory, especially before the antiques are sold at auction. Father also mentioned the relic that is in the altar at St Mary. We will have a ceremony to remove it during the closing Mass.
Faith Facilities Report: Written report submitted. Dick Roberts reported that Randy Milbrath is working on the punch list. Sound system equipment, pews, delivery of altar, ambo, piano, Stations of the Cross are all due for delivery within the next two weeks. The week of March 9 will be the final wrap and practice for the Dedication. Dave said we would need volunteers to help install the pews.
Prince of Peace School Report: Written reports submitted. Christy Roth stated the students are planning a kick-off for the community food drive. A $38,000 grant for a new preschool playground has been awarded by the Jackson County Empowerment Board. Christy also thanked all who attended the annual dinner auction. They experienced a record number of attendees this year. Mike Finn offered to be a liaison for the school to submit articles to the Catholic Messenger.

ADA goal is $101,000 and we are at $91,000 so we still have a shortfall. Tom mentioned the Abatement committee is working on the auction that will attract a wide range of people. It is being called a Gallery Auction. The demolition of St Mary is scheduled for sometime this summer. The fourth quarter of last year was the best quarter we have had in the last five years. The Building Peace II fund has also been coming in at a very good rate.
