Christian Experience Weekend
Christian Experience Weekend All Men and Women 18 Years Prince of Peace February19-21st 2010 March 5-7th 2010 The purpose of the Christian Experience Weekend is to strengthen and enrich your relationship with God. A special time and place, away from the busy routine of daily living, is provided where a true Christian community will develop in a variety of ways. The Christian Experience Weekend is not a retreat consisting of strict silence and meditation. It is rather a shared Christian experience, which grew out of the realization that the Christian life has to be experienced before it can be properly appreciated. |
The weekend is intended for any person who would like to grow in terms of the kind of Christian he or she is; the person who is looking for more in life – the “fullness of life” and joy which Jesus came to bring us. It is open to anyone eighteen years and older. The first weekend, February 19-21st is for women only. A team of lay people, Priests, Deacons, and Sisters conduct the weekend. The weekend includes talks and discussions; special services and masses; and time for reflection, good food and fun. The weekend begins at 7:30 pm on Friday evening and ends at 5:00 pm on Sunday afternoon. Everything is held at Prince of Peace School. Part of the community experience is sleeping in a large room arrangement on mats and sleeping bags. Special arrangements are possible if required. |
